About Iron Goddess Roasted
Iron Goddess (Tieguanyin) is typically a very light, floral tea. We sourced a quintessential Iron Goddess for our shop from the farmer who made this for us. However, for this tea, the farmer graciously agreed to directly roast the tea to produce something that resembles the taste of Genmaicha. He was curious about experimenting with this because of his Buddhist background, and we are forever grateful for his experiment. Our Roasted Iron Goddess has been a staple at Sophie's ever since.
